Nineties supermodel, Kirsten Owen walks for the Mary Katrantzou Autumn Winter 2014 show at London Fashion Week, February 2014. Owen’s career has spanned across more than 20 years of campaigns for Fendi, Celine, Helmut Lang, Givenchy, Marc Jacobs and Calvin Klein as well as countless editorials for high profile magazines; she appeared on the cover of Italian, French and Spanish Vogue by the age of 17. Kirsten walked along side another supermodel, Emma Balfour, opening and closing the show at the esteemed PHILLIPS Gallery in London.
“Owen is the only possible rival to Kate Moss in terms of relevant longevity in her profession, and any designer who employs her clearly has something other than the moment of this particular season in mind. Katrantzou’s collections have often taken the long view, functioning as distillations of memories, souvenirs of life to be savored and treasured. That notion was stronger than ever today. It was a beautiful new chapter for a designer who is fearless in her fusion of fashion and philosophy.” Style.com
