MARY KATRANTZOU X MET MUSEUM

The Metropolitan Museum of Art unveils The Costume Institute’s Spring 2019 exhibition, “Camp: Notes on Fashion”, on view May 9 to September 8 at The Met Fifth Avenue.

Mary Katrantzou is featured with five emblematic looks from past seasons, exploring trompe l’oeil prints, architectural shapes and exquisite embroidered details that have made the brand infamous over the last decade.

The MET store includes a product selection from 14 fashion designers.

For the first time, the retail assortment presents a designer store-in-store experience called The Camp Collection for which designers developed products that reflect their perspectives on the camp sensibility.

Mary Katrantzou creates thematic collections that revolve around icons of luxury, focusing on rare art and design objects that she translates into wearable prints. Noted for her enchanting and whimsical digital prints, Mary Katrantzou juxtaposes colours and textures in innovative ways, seen here with six vividly printed journals, available at the #MetCamp exhibition store or online.
